Far from mom and dad,
I grew up in hate.
Bullied for my skin,
For my physical state.
As I grew I saw my demons fight,
And my room losing the light.
Screams of those fights,
Scars of those violence.
My oh-so best friend left me for a guy she met.
Everyone promised me love but handed me hate.
Can’t remember fancy times.
No moments I can call mine.
I don’t remember if it was my destiny dressed like fate.
All that I remember is that I grew up on hate.
Only you grew up on love, I grew up on hate.
